The Golden Sun Hotel is built according to the tradinional Aegean architecture.It is only five minutes walking distance from the beach and ten minutes from the village (Chora) with a breathtaking view of the sea and the sun set.

The Golden Sun Hotel is a clean,friendly,quiet,family place ideal for a relaxing holiday.The rooms all have private W.C., private balconies with sea view,TV,air-conditionig and refrigarator.

There is also a lovely swimming pool and baby pool with view of the port.You can have breakfast in the breakfast room,terrace or by the pool.It is also 250m from the beautiful,sandy beach called Yialos.

Breakfast costs EUR 4 per person per day. Breakfast is served from 08:30 to 12:00. We serve light lunches all day.

Area information

The Golden Sun is only a short walk, not even 5 minutes, from the beautiful port of Ios.

Yialos Beach (300 m) - You will find fine restaurants, a supermarket, mini-markets, shops, a bakery, and car, bike and boat rentals.

Chora (800 m) - Using the path, you can walk to the old village with its narrow streets. There you will find souvenir shops, pubs and bars.

Archaeological Settlement (700 m) - You may spot this prehistoric site on your way to the village.

Mylopotas Beach (3.5 km) - A beach attracting young people. You may rent a bike or car or take a bus to visit it. More information can be given at reception.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
